Bestselling Author Bernadette Marie is known for building families readers want to be part of. Her series The Keller Family has graced bestseller charts since its release in 2011, along with her other series and single title books. The married mother of five sons promises Happily Ever After always…and says she can write it, because she lives it.

When not writing, Bernadette Marie is shuffling her sons to their many events—mostly hockey—and enjoying the beautiful views of the Colorado Rocky Mountains from her front step. She is also an accomplished martial artist with a second degree black belt in Tang Soo Do.

A few Questions and answers with Bernadette

What is your favorite late night snack?

a. Chocolate. Nothing specific. I love chocolate in all of its glorious forms.

Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

a. I see that NYT Bestseller wish coming true. I know I’ll have many more books out and I see no end to that. I’d like to see my publishing house grow and succeed as well as my author event company. In ten years I’ll be able to travel more, so I think my books will only be enhanced by that.

Tell us 5 random things about yourself.

a. I built myself a treadmill desk and that is where I work for the first two hours of my morning.
b. My first career was as a nail care professional and I opened my first salon when I was 20. I still do hair in my basement studio, when I have time.
c. When I was in high school my vocal coach told me that it takes 20 years to perfect an operatic voice and I was 10 years ahead of my time.
d. I will put on my FitBit the minute I wake up and walk to the bathroom so I don’t miss any steps in my day.
e. I have very few organization skills when it comes to my house and yet I dislike piles and clutter with a passion.

What was the most surprising part of writing this book?

a. It surprised me that the characters kept taking control of the book and it got longer and longer. In fact, I had no idea that the “who done it” guy was the guy! I thought he was going to be in the next book. I was very surprised at that.
