Book Tour: The Dream Makers by Mikey Brooks

First off, check out this AMAZING book trailer!

Now lets take a look at the book.

Book Blurb:

This is the exciting conclusion to The Dream Keeper Chronicles.
When the nightmare king escapes into the world of Awake, it is left to Gladamyr and his teen bonds, Parker and Kaelyn, to stop him. They must return Mares back to Dreams before the barrier between the two worlds crumbles and darkness reigns forever. But to do so, Parker and Kaelyn must heal broken friendships and unite an army of children who are brave enough to conquer their fears.

Speaking of nightmares.... I am a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to pretty much all things scary. I've never actually finished the first movie of Jurassic Park! I did get talked into watching I am Legend a few years back, and even thinking about it now is giving me the hee-bee-jeebies. I remember the night after, I walked into the bathroom before bed, the lights were all off except for the glow of the blue night light in the hall. As I walked into the tiny bathroom, I noticed that you could kind of see the moon through the frosted glass of the tiny window over the shower, and as I moved towards loud

SSSSCCCCKKKKKKRRRRRIIIIIITTTTTTCCCCCCHH

sounded across that tiny window. Being seven months pregnant, I promptly peed myself and screamed. My husband came in arms swinging, and flipped on the light. This illuminated my wet pajama pants, and the shadow of a branch that needed trimming, because it was now pressed up against the window.

Now for something a little less humiliating, take a look at who the author selected to play his main characters if Dream Maker was made into a movie.

Main Character Casting:

Gladamyr
Colin O'Donoghue from Once Upon a Time (Hook)

Parker
A younger version of Logan Lerman would be good. Of course he’d have to have some Latino aspects. Parker is half Latino and half white. (Percy Jackson)

Kaelyn
A younger version of Elle Fanning (Super 8 and Maleficent)

Fyren
Benedict Cumberbatch (the voice of Smog)

Mab
Katie McGrath (Morgana from Merlin)

Liz
Penélope Cruz (Angelica from Pirate of the Caribbean)

Zelda
I think Amy Adams (Enchanted) could really pull off Zelda

Dr. Gates
Ryan Gosling might be able to pull him off (The Notebook)

Allyon

Sean Connery would be perfect. Maybe Ian McKellen.

Which would you pick? I am a HUGE Sean Connery fan, personally. ;)

The Lebrus Stone by Miriam Khan Cover Reveal and Trailer Reveal

We are sooooo excited for this reveal today!
Let's start off with a little about our author.

Miriam is from Cheshire, England and a family of six siblings. Her love for creativity led to acting at her local theatre before being a lead vocalist in rock bands. During those years, she often found solace penning her thoughts and feelings through lyrics or poetry. She chose not to continue singing in 2006, and two years later she woke up with the idea for The Lebrus Stone and began typing. revising and editing it for the next six years. She is now eager to see what readers will think.

To see the latest going on with Miriam Khan:

When Eighteen year old orphan, Crystal Valdez, accepts an invitation to the small town of Blacksville, West Virginia, she’s hopes to have a summer to remember, a chance to get to learn more about her parents, even the family she never knew existed.

But the Lockes begin to act strange and erratic; eerie movements in the night further fuel her very vivid and gruesome nightmares. To complicate her summer further, she becomes attracted to the menacing handsome Cray Locke: her none blood related cousin who seems hell bent on keeping his distance. The only bonus seems to be the Housekeeper and Gardener.

And when a local informs Crystal of the secrets buried at Thorncrest Manor, one consisting of a forbidden love and war between hidden worlds and even witchcraft, she must decide who to trust. Even if it means leaving behind those she has come to love and trust.

Ok here it is!!!!

The cover you have all been waiting for!!!!

Isn't it FABULOUS!!!!!

Now for the trailer! This is gonna knock your socks off, so hold on to your seat!

Book Tour: Loving Lucianna by Joyce DiPastena

Book Blurb:

Sir Balduin de Soler gave up long ago on love. He never had the means to support a wife until an unexpected advancement in his fifties allows him to reassess his future just as the lovely Lucianna enters his life.

Lucianna Fabio harbors a secret, painful memory from her past that has kept her unwed, as well. Now in her forties, she thought herself too old to marry until she meets Sir Balduin. Now suddenly their lonely autumn lives feel very much like spring again . . . until Lucianna’s brother appears without warning and threatens to revive the secret that will destroy Lucianna’s second chance at love.

“Loving Lucianna" is the first in my new “Hearts in Autumn” romance series, medieval romances revolving around heroes and heroines “in the autumn of their years.” Because you’re never too old to fall in love!”

Author Bio:

Joyce DiPastena dreamed of green medieval forests while growing up in the dusty copper mining town of Kearny, Arizona. She filled her medieval hunger by reading the books of Thomas B. Costain (where she fell in love with King Henry II of England), and later by attending the University of Arizona where she graduated with a degree in history, specializing in the Middle Ages. The university was also where she completed her first full-length novel...set, of course, in medieval England. Later, her fascination with Henry II led her to expand her research horizons to the far reaches of his “Angevin Empire” in France, which became the setting of her first published novel, Loyalty’s Web (a 2007 Whitney Award Finalist).
When she’s not writing, Joyce loves to read, play the piano, and spend time with her sister and friends. A highlight of her year is attending the annual Arizona Renaissance Festival. She lives with her two cats, Clio and Glinka Rimsky-Korsokov, in Mesa, Arizona.

Did you know that Lucianna (the heroine of “Loving Lucianna”) has her very own Pinterest board? http://www.pinterest.com/jdipastena/loving-lucianna/

Book Tour: Phobic by Cortney Pearson

Book Blurb:

Fifteen-year-old Piper Crenshaw knows her house is strange. It’s never needed repairs since it was built in the 1800s, and the lights flicker in response to things she says. As if those things aren’t creepy enough, it’s also the place where her mother committed murder.

To prove she’s not afraid of where she lives, Piper opens a forbidden door, which hides a staircase that leads to the ceiling. That’s when the flashbacks of the original residents from 1875 start, including a love affair between two young servants. Each vision pulls Piper deeper into not only their story, but also her house. Piper confides in her best friend, Todd, whom she's gradually falling for, but even he doesn't believe her. At least, not until her house gets axed during a prank, and the act injures Piper instead, cutting a gash the size of Texas into her stomach.

Piper realizes her house isn’t haunted—it’s alive. To sever her link to it, she must unravel the clues in the flashbacks and uncover the truth about her mother’s crime, before she becomes part of her house for good.

***MY REVIEW***

Where do I even start? This book totally blew my mind! In a good way, too. I felt completely captivated throughout the entire book, and I could hardly put it down to go to sleep. Phobic is one of those books you can't just read, and set the book down at any point, and still feel able to continue on with life.
Piper, the main female character is well written, and is the kind of character I wish I could give her a huge hug. As a fellow clarinet player, and acne sufferer I totally related to all of her struggles, and then also her sense of joy when ONE of her issues was transferred to her worst enemy. (SPOILERS!)
Phobic had me flinching and double checking every squeak and creek in MY house! I'm not one to read scary books. I've never even finished the first Jurassic Park movie! The nightmares are what get me. This book, didn't give me nightmares, but still scared the tar out of me!!
So in honor of Halloween approaching, instead of rating in stars, I am rating this book 5 Sugar Skulls! Beautifully done, Cortney Pearson!!!

Snippet:

(BTW this is the main reason why I really want to get my hands on a copy of this book! This is pure awesome-sauce!!!)

“I guess a direct approach would probably have worked better,” he says. Then he balls his hands into fists and taps them at his knees. “I have the biggest crush on you. There. I said it.”

“You—you do?” This is absurd. And yet I’m ravenous inside. It’s a challenge to concentrate on anything but him, and I want nothing more than for him to keep talking.

Main Character Casting:

Todd
Played by Zachary Levi. (This picture shows exactly how I pictured him while writing!)

Piper

Saxon Sharbino
(With zits, lol.)

Author bio:

Cortney is a book nerd who studied literature at BYU-Idaho, a music nerd who plays clarinet in her local community orchestra, and a writing nerd who creates stories for young adults. She lives with her husband and three sons in a small Idaho farm town.
